General introduction to IMA - RTCA DO-297

The integrated modular avionic (IMA) architecture is introduced in various modern civil aircrafts. It represents a real-time airborne system platform with a number of flexible, reusable, and interoperable hardware and software components capable to host several applications performing aircraft functions with different criticality level. In this seminar the basic knowledge of IMA according RTCA DO-297 is introduced. Special attention is paid for IMA-related development and certification aspects.
